Thanks for the memories, 2011 LKS Convention attendees!

Members of Lambda kappa Sigma who attended the annual convention in Detroit were treated to Motown hospitality, and witnessed how proud the members of Omicron and Alpha Iota are of the city of Detroit and the state of Michigan.  From the pre-meeting dinners – on the waterfront and on the water! – to the final banquet and awards ceremony, the convention was a great success!

This was our first annual convention, and many firsts were included in this year’s activities: first executive level keynote speaker, first Laugh Olympics, first convention HOPE waLKS, first poster presentations, and first chrysanthemum awards.  Quite an exciting addition of new traditions to complement our long standing convention activities.

Omicron collegiate chapter of Wayne State University and co-hosts Alpha Iota collegiate chapter of Ferris State University, along with the incredible Omicron alumni were instrumental in the success of the 2011 convention. On behalf of the Grand Council, I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks and congratulations for a job well done.  On a more personal note, I am exceedingly proud of the dedication to excellence and all the personal touches these members incorporated into the convention to make our experience so great.  I am so proud to know the future of the fraternity, and indeed the profession, is in good hands!
