SPRING 2010 - CHAPTER RESPONSIBILITIESChapter Officer Roster - if you have recently held elections, please forward the contact information for the new officers to the LKS International Office and your Regional Supervisor as soon as possible. Be sure to include an email address and telephone number where the chapter president can be reached over the summer. Please consider emailing the information from the form so that we can process the updates quickly.
Ruth Davies Flaherty Award - Now is the time to submit your chapter's nominee for the Ruth Davies Flaherty Award (one per chapter). This award recognizes one outstanding member who has demonstrated great chapter loyalty and dedication throughout the year. If you have not yet submitted your nominee, please complete the attached form and fax (262-679-4558) or email (lks@lks.org) the form to the IO as soon as possible.
Ethel J Heath Key Award - Now is also the time to submit your chapter's candidates who are eligible for the Ethel J Heath Award Key. This award recognizes outstanding academic success for all active LKS members who rank in the top 10% of their class and are candidates for graduation. The chapter can submit all qualifying members who meet this criteria and who are current, dues-paid members of LKS. A form is attached (certificate and jewelry are provided to the candidates free of charge as a gift from the Fraternity!).
Convention Travel Grant Application Form - Now available! Submission deadline is June 1st! Don't delay - funding is limited. Qualified applicants will receive a complimentary Convention Registration valued at $300.
Convention Delegate Credentials - Due May 15th! Each chapter is required to send a minimum of one member to the Convention to represent your chapter in all Fraternity business sessions and professional programming during the meeting. This designee is the Chapter Delegate. If the delegate submits credentials by the May 1st deadline, and if they attend all required meetings during the Convention, they are eligible for a reimbursement of their round-trip airfare or mileage from the chapter city to Pittsburgh.
Convention Registration Form - Early registration for the Convention is due postmarked no later than June 30th; after that time you may still register, but you will be required to pay the full registration fee. See Registration Form for details.
Convention Hotel Reservations - Have you booked a room at the Hyatt-Pittsburgh International Airport yet? Space is limited, so don't delay. Contact the LKS IO if your require assistance.

New Initiates - if you have any new initiates for the 2009-2010 academic year who have not yet been submitted for processing at the LKS IO, please forward their completed MMIS forms and $75/person fee prior to June 1st. New initiates must be registered with the IO to be considered members of LKS - active membership makes them eligible to attend Convention, serve as a chapter officer, and submit an application for an Educational Grant in the fall. Any inactive member who wishes to activate their membership so that they can also attend Convention must first renew their student membership by paying dues of $60.
2010 Graduates - Please have your 2010 graduating members complete the MMIS form to update their membership information at the LKS IO. This will change their status from collegiate to alumni, and will assist the Fraternity in staying in contact with these valued members.
