Membership Types

Lambda Kappa Sigma has nine types of membership with different fee structures.

Type of Membership Fees/Dues
New Member Candidate
A new member candidate may not be an initiated member of another pharmacy fraternity. All new member candidates for collegiate membership must be scholastically eligible by local campus regulations. All new member candidates for alumni membership will be initiated into the chapter from which they graduated or into a chapter with which they are affiliated.
$125 ($100 initiation fee + $25 mandatory insurance)

Collegiate Members
Collegiate members are those initiated members in attendance in a professional degree program at a college or school of pharmacy, or those registered in a pre-pharmacy curriculum. Members may also have to pay annual dues to their local chapter.
$100 ($75 dues + $25 mandatory insurance) annually

Alumni Chapter Members or Alumni-at-Large
Alumni members are initiated members who have graduated from a college or school of pharmacy. They can by alumni-at-large or affiliated with an alumni chapter. Alumni chapter members may also have to pay annual dues to their local chapter.
$140 ($115 dues + $25 mandatory insurance) annually

Over 65
Alumni members who are over 65 years of age as of November 1 of each year.
$100 ($75 dues + $25 mandatory insurance) annually

Graduate Students
Alumni members who have graduated from a college or school of pharmacy and are currently enrolled in a degree graduate program as of November 1 of each year.
$100 ($75 dues + $25 mandatory insurance) annually

Recent Graduates
Dues are waived for current graduates until November 1 of the calendar year after graduation.

50 Year Members
Initiated members who have attained 50 years of membership as of November 1.

Honorary Members
An Honorary Member is an individual who has been chosen from among outstanding persons in the field of pharmacy, allied sciences or other fields. An Honorary Member is not required to complete orientation and does not participate in a formal initiation.

A Patron Member is an individual selected by the chapter for the honor because of outstanding interest in or service to the Fraternity. A Patron Member is not required to complete orientation and does not participate in a formal initiation.
