Christina Inteso completed her doctorate of pharmacy degree at Wilkes Univeristy where she was a member of the Alpha Phi chapter. She completed a PGY1 residency at the Lebanon VA Medical Center and a PGY2 at St Louis College of Pharmacy/SSM Health St Mary’s where she specialized in ambulatory care, academia, and high-risk obstetrics. Christina is currently a clinical pharmacy specialist in ambulatory care for Community Health Network in Indianapolis where she primarily works with high-risk patients to help them achieve their diabetes-related healthcare goals. She is actively involved in the PGY2 residency committee, offers an endocrinology elective, serves as a resident mentor, and is the department resource for continuous glucose monitoring, insulin pumps, U500 insulin and other advanced diabetes topics. She has been a member of several diabetes-related network-wide committees and is currently working on a network initiative to improve post-partum glucose testing.
Christina has a book chapter pending publication on the pharmacist’s role in continuous glucose monitoring and has other research articles published on smoking cessation rates during pregnancy and the effects of buprenorphine on pregnant women. She is also the first and only pharmacist on the Sweet Success Express Extension Program advisory panel which is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to improving the care of women with diabetes during pregnancy.
