CE Program: “Leading From the Bench: Things I Didn’t Learn in Pharmacy School”

Dr. Leigh Briscoe-Dwyer is currently the Vice President of Network Pharmacy for the Westchester County Medical Center Health System inValhalla New York. She has previously served as the Vice President of Clinical Affairs at PharMEDium, a 503B Compounding Pharmacy based in Chicago, Illinois and as Chief Pharmacy and Medication Safety Officer at the (then) Northshore – LIJ Health System in New York. She received her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Albany College of Pharmacy in 1987 and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from St. John’s University in 1994. She is a certified pharmacist immunizer and is Board Certified in Pharmacotherapy. She maintains an Adjunct Clinical Faculty position at Albany College of Pharmacy, and is an Affiliate Associate Clinical Professor at St. John’s University. She was a member of the NYS Board of Pharmacy for 10 years and served in several capacities, including Chair of the Executive Committee.
Dr. Briscoe-Dwyer is a Past President of both the Long Island Society of Health-system Pharmacists and New York State Council of Health-system Pharmacists, and has been named a Fellow of the American Society of Health-system Pharmacists. She is also a member of the Board of Trustees of Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
