Student Spotlight: Meet Alexis Droesch!

LKS spotlights student and alumni members that are making a difference in their chapters, in their communities, and in the field of pharmacy.
Tell us about yourself:

My name is Alexis and I am a P2 at the University of Connecticut and a member of Alpha Beta chapter. I currently work as an intern at Stop & Shop pharmacy, and in my spare time I enjoy traveling!

I joined LKS because:

I joined LKS thanks to my big, Erin! She was my mentor as a freshman and told me that LKS was a great way to get involved in the School of Pharmacy and meet other women with the same interests. I’m very grateful that I joined because I was able to build a support system to help me through pharmacy as well as made life-long friends.

My most memorable LKS experience:

My most memorable LKS experience was attending Convention 2018 in Buffalo, NY. I loved seeing sisters from other chapters present posters they worked hard on, as well as hearing about their successful events over the past year. It was also fun to visit Canada for the day to bond with my Alpha Beta sisters!

Career plans:

After getting my Pharm D, I plan to work in community pharmacy. I love the patient interaction that I have at my job, and one of the Pharmacists I work with inspires me to go into community pharmacy because she always goes above and beyond to make a positive impact on each of her patients!
