Alumni Spotlight: Meet Marissa Salvo!

LKS spotlights student and alumni members that are making a difference in their chapters, in their communities, and in the field of pharmacy.
Chapter: Alpha Beta Alumni Chapter (Xi Collegiate Chapter)
LKS Award: 2014 Distinguished Young Pharmacist Award
About Marissa:
I work as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Connecticut School of Pharmacy and have served as the LKS Women’s Health Issue Committee Chair since 2012. I have attended Convention in Scranton, Naples, Philadelphia and Las Vegas. In my free time, I enjoy being with my family and friends, traveling, eating at new restaurants.
Most memorable LKS experience?
I have so many! I was most proud to receive the LKS Distinguished Young Pharmacist Award in 2014.
Advice to other members?
Show initiative, never give up, be enthusiastic and always smile!
Why are you a lamb for life?
I love our network! It’s awesome to attend local and national meetings and automatically have a talking point with fellow LKS members.
What job would you do if you weren’t a pharmacist?
A wedding planner! Similar to pharmacists, a lot of attention is given to details.
