Please provide a brief summary of pharmacy school activities/organizations, including involvement in LKS. If you are an alumni member, please include your current job and professional activities.
I joined LKS freshman year and served as Professionalism Chair and President. I am also a member of Rho Chi.
What does receiving an educational grant mean to you?
It was an honor to receive one of the educational grants. I love the way LKS invests in its members and encourages members to accomplish their goals. This grant allowed me to continue my pharmacy education and relieved some of the financial burden of P4 year. With the help of this grant I was able to focus on learning and gaining the most benefit from my rotations as well as applying to jobs/residencies as opposed to having to work after rotations. I am so appreciative of the Educational Grant for making a difference in my P4 year!
What drew you to join LKS?
I was so excited to join LKS during the spring of my freshman year of college when I met a group of older students who felt more like a home away from home than a campus organization. I immediately met many students whom I made an instant connection with. Throughout my time in LKS I have looked up to them and have always been able to count on my sisters. I love the supportive and loving environment I have found with LKS.
What is your favorite LKS memory?
My favorite LKS memory is going to convention in Atlanta 2017. It was my first time at convention and I felt so welcomed from LKS sisters around the country. This convention inspired me to become more of a leader within LKS and helped me make lifelong connections!
What are your hobbies?
I love outdoor activities such as snowboarding, biking, and hiking!
What are 3 fun facts about you?
1) I completed a rotation in Browning, Montana on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation.
2) I am a Green Bay Packers fan.
3) I am obsessed with sunsets.
