What does receiving an educational grant mean to you?

Receiving the Dr.B. Olive Cole Graduate Educational grant meant that I could further pursue my pharmacy career goals by alleviating some of the financial burden, especially during APPE rotations. Receiving this grant allowed me to have an experience I never thought I would be able to have, by being able to see pharmacy practice abroad in Poland. I hope to give back to my LKS sisters when I am able to when I graduate.

What drew you to join LKS?

I was drawn to LKS because I saw the long lasting friendships that the current sisters had and I wanted to find that while I was in pharmacy school in order to have support throughout the next 4 years. I believe having a support system in professional school is important and I knew that LKS could help me with that.

What is your favorite LKS memory?

My favorite LKS memory is our annual Hope Gala from this year in January 2019. I was able to plan and obtain a grant in order to support our funding for this event. Seeing the turnout for the event and everyone having an enjoyable time made the hard work worth it and knowing that we were able to donate $1000 to Project HOPE was the best part.

What are your hobbies?

Reading, going to concerts, seeing Broadway musicals, spending time with family and friends, going to Zumba

What are 3 fun facts about you?

1) I spent 6 weeks in Poland this summer for an APPE rotation.

2) I have seen every episode of Friends more times than I can count, probably more than 10 times, and am always referencing quotes to it.

3) I was an all-star cheerleader for 6 years.
