Chapter: Beta Beta Chapter (Western New England University)

About Courtney

Hi! I am a P4 at Western New England University College of Pharmacy. I am a founding member of the Beta Beta Chapter, where I served as the Secretary and Professional Events Chair. In 2015, I attended the LKS Annual Convention in St. Louis and loved every minute of it! I am also a member of APhA-ASP, Phi Lambda Sigma and Rho Chi. I currently work for CVS/Pharmacy as a pharmacy intern. While I am not busy on rotations or at work, I enjoy cooking/baking, spending time with family and friends and volunteering at a local cat shelter. I am also actively planning my wedding for next summer.

Why did you join LKS?

I joined LKS because I wanted to help build a professional pharmacy fraternity at my school where I know I could leave a lasting impact. I had heard about other chapters of LKS and events that they put on, and I thought that this was the perfect organization for me to join and to help grow and develop on campus. I firmly believe in everything that LKS stands for and strive to apply the core values in my everyday life and career.

Most memorable LKS experience?

My most memorable LKS experience was the 2015 LKS Annual Convention in St. Louis. I enjoyed meeting and talking with different sisters and alumni. I learned so much in those three days and made lifelong friends along the way. If anyone is debating on whether or not they should go to the convention, my advice is GO! You will learn so much about yourself, your sisters and the organization. It is an event you will remember forever!

What are your career plans?

After graduation, I plan on moving to the Baltimore area to work for CVS/Pharmacy as a staff pharmacist. In my career, I hope to one day be a pharmacy manager and be a preceptor to both IPPE and APPE students.
