Meet Erin Engbring

Chapter: Alpha Mu Chapter (Univ. of Toledo)

About Erin

My name is Erin Engbring and I am a P3 student at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. I am currently serving as Nu Chapter’s President. In the past I have served as Vice President and Vice President of Philanthropy. My favorite chapter activity is a sisterhood outing to Perkins after Sunrise Ceremony. I currently work in a retail pharmacy and have been there about three years. When I’m not studying I like to craft, hangout with friends/family, read books, and bake cookies.

Why did you join LKS?

I joined LKS because when I was a sophomore one of the members, Rachel, told me in Organic Chemistry lab, “hey you should come to recruitment, there will be cupcakes.” I was immediately sold.

Most memorable LKS experience?

My most memorable LKS experience was convention this summer in Atlanta. Five women from Nu chapter went together and we had a great time meeting other chapters and learning new information to bring back with us to Iowa. The highlight of the trip was when our chapter won Midwest Regional Chapter of the Year.

Future career plans?

I hope rotations next year will give me a clearer idea of the opportunities available to me. I can see myself being a pharmacist at a smaller chain store or an independent pharmacy, and maybe one day owning my own pharmacy.
