Tell us about yourself
I am a fourth year or P2 pharmacy student at St. John’s University. I currently serve as Vice President of Alpha Pi Chapter and I am responsible for overseeing recruitment and orientation. Previously, I served as the Public Relations Chair where I proposed a new and updated website and was able to create an advanced, self-hosted website to display every achievement in one place. I have also been apart of the fundraising committee for two years, helping the Fundraising Chairs with their bake sales and dine to donates.
In my free time I love to read, hangout by the beach, and try new foods. Any chance I get, when not in the midst of exams, I travel to New York City to experience new foods and try new restaurants. In the past, I have attended the 2018 LKS Annual Convention in Buffalo, New York. This was my first convention and definitely not my last. It was an amazing experience and I am so grateful to have gone with my sisters and have met new sisters.
I joined LKS because
I wanted to make new friends within my major who would be able to understand the struggles of school. Older sisters are always giving me advice and words of wisdom to get me through this program and I do not know where I would be without their support and encouragement. This sisterhood has given be great friendships that I know will last a lifetime.
My most memorable LKS experience
My most memorable LKS experience thus far is meeting my amazing big. We met during the recruitment event, Game Night, where we could not stop talking to one another. Two years later and we still can not get enough of one another. My Big is my best friend and I am eternally grateful to LKS for bringing her into my life.
As of right now I am open to all opportunities within the pharmacy field. I am grateful that pharmacy is so versatile and there are so many different routes to pursue upon graduation. I have enjoyed working in the community pharmacy setting, but I could also see myself working in managed care or R&D.
