My name is Kayleigh Dottery and I am currently a PY3 at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. I joined the Tau Chapter of Lambda Kappa Sigma in the spring semester of my freshman year. Since then I have been apart of the recruitment committee and I have been on our executive board for the past 2 years as a New Member Coordinator and now as President. In 2016, I attended convention in Scranton with a few of my sisters. Currently I work at a compounding pharmacy at home where the majority of our patients are animals!
Why did you join LKS?
I joined LKS to meet more girls in pharmacy and to be more involved at Duquesne. I attended all of the LKS recruitment events and loved how everyone was so friendly and eager to meet the potential new members. One thing that stood out to me at these recruitment events was how everyone said you will find a family within LKS. To this day I still find this true. I would have never met some of my best friends if it weren’t for LKS!
What is your most memorable moment in LKS?
My most memorable LKS experience has been spending time with my tree at formals, tree teas, and Tau Chapter’s HOPE Ball.
Future career plans
As of now, my career plans are to go into community pharmacy, but I am eager to learn more about different types of pharmacy during rotations.
