I am a P3 in the Alpha Phi chapter here at the Wilkes University Nesbitt School of Pharmacy. I’m also an intern at the CVS in Danville, and the Concertmaster of the Wilkes University Chamber Orchestra. In my free time I enjoy playing my violin, reading, and spending time with friends.
Favorite LKS activities
In my LKS chapter, I’ve held the position of Professional Chair for 2 years. Over those 2 years I’ve helped host our annual Turkey Tea luncheon to support our local Salvation Army, blood drives, and presented at health fairs.
Why did you join LKS?
I joined LKS because all of the members made me feel very welcome, and I wanted to be part of something bigger to help empower women in pharmacy. I’m thankful I joined becasue I was able to not only help our local community in lots of different ways, but I was able to make a lot of lifelong friends. Over the 2 years, my most memorable experience was having Lt. Melissa from the Salvation Army come to our Turkey Tea fundraiser event, and join us to see what LKS is all about, and how we help our local community.
What are your career goals?
While I’m not set on what I want to do in the future, I’m interested in community and hospital pharmacy, as well as managed care pharmacy. I’m hoping my APPE rotations help me decide which career option would be best. When I find the right field of pharmacy, I someday want to live and work in the beautiful states of either Alaska, Montana, or Colorado.
