I am a P2 student at D’Youville College in Buffalo, New York, where I am the community service co-chair for Beta Alpha Chapter. I completed my undergraduate studies at the University at Buffalo, where I received a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry with a minor in Pharmacology and Toxicology. I currently work at CVS Pharmacy and have been there for just over 3 years. Some of my hobbies include taking naps, traveling and going to Chautauqua Lake with my boyfriend.
Why did you join LKS?
During orientation for school, each fraternity gave a little speech about themselves. At the front of the room stood about 12 (now) sisters who looked so strong, powerful and poised. They went on to talk about how passionate they are for elevating women in pharmacy and how community service is something they strongly believe in. Next, they showed their slideshow, and it showed the sisterhood bond. I am an only child so I never had any sisters to look up to, but this was my chance! Finally, they told us about the leadership opportunities within the chapter but also within the fraternity at a national level. I was sucked right in.
Most memorable LKS experience?
I attended the 2017 Convention in Atlanta, and I don’t think I have laughed or smiled so much in my life. Being able to meet sisters from all over the country was truly an amazing experience. It was fascinating to learn how Grand Council works, and it was great to be able to meet women who are dedicated to serving Lambda Kappa Sigma.
What are your career plans?
I love people and the elderly so I hope to practice in either a community or long-term care setting.
