Meet Sarah Metzinger

Chapter: Alpha Mu Chapter (Univ. of Toledo)

My Name is Sarah Metzinger and I am the Social Chair for alpha phi chapter at Wilkes University. I get to plan fun socials like our Holiday party and banquet at the end of the year. I attended convention in Buffalo this year and got so many great ideas from other chapters for future events! I also participate in other clubs such as Rho Chi, PPAG, PPA, and APhA. I currently work as an intern at CVS. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family and finding new shows to watch on Netflix.

I joined LKS because I noticed what great events and community service our chapter participated in on campus. Some of the older members were super involved in LKS and other clubs on campus and I wanted to be part of that! The organization made it so easy to make friends and has prepared me with leadership skills I’ll need in the future.

My most memorable LKS experience is definitely attending my first convention in Buffalo this past summer. I loved being able to spend time with other chapters and make friends from all over the country! After meeting other members, alumni, and grand council members, it made me more motivated to bring back what I learned to my chapter and help make it the best it can be!

My future career plans are still up in the air. I love my job at CVS and could see myself working there in the future. However, I like to keep an open mind about new experiences that could lead me down a different path. I’m looking forward to rotations so that I can figure out what career path fits me!
